Are you a compliant Contractor?

In the ICT Industry there is still confusion over how to engage compliant Independent Contractors under the testing regime of the PSI Legislation.
Many contractors and the companies engaging their services do not understand the implications of incorrectly classifying employment as a contract for the delivery of services. In many cases they ignore or don’t know statutory obligations may exist such as WorkCover, Payroll Tax and in some cases Superannuation payments.
The difficulty we face is one of education – there are solutions to this issue which provide a raft of benefits to industry and we would value your opinion on how to make this “little known” fact – known.
